2010 Lexus IS-F Rims

Lexus is offering an alternative set of rims for the 2010 IS-F. The tims come in the same gunmetal color and were also developed by BBS, who made the previous ten spoke gunmetal rims. The rims have several branched out spokes, stemming from the images of five larger spokes. The design looks like they would fit on an IS350, but not so much an IS-F. The rims have more crevices which may actually do more harm than good since the brakes produce a large amount of hot metallic dust. The rims simply seem a bit too intricate and precise for the IS-F. The previous gunmetal rims were large and obtuse, like the majority of the IS-F body. I certainly will not be upgrading my rims, and if I was given the option between the two on the 2010 model, I would certainly take the old rims. The weight between the wheels does not vary much, so from a performance perspective, there is no benefit. The only benefit to these rims is basically the new refreshing look, which is in the eye of the beholder.
